Tischan was born in South Africa, moved to Utah when she was two, then to North Carolina at the age of ten. Tischan considers NC her home as she has been here for over 15 years and is an alum of both the NC School of Science and Math as well as UNC Chapel Hill. Tischan's husband, Jedediah, is a biopharma consultant, and they have two sons - aged 3 and 5 years. Tischan and her family enjoy everything outdoors from hiking to kayaking to berry picking!

Tischan was previously a stay-at-home mom for the past three years, but prior to that, she worked as a laboratory manager at UNC for three years. She is excited to be in a role that furthers God's kingdom!

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking, traveling, and reading.
