I have been married to Ping Shen whom I met in our hometown back in China. Ping and I have two teenage boys, Teddy and Ethan.

I’ve been working at SAS, a software company headquartered in Cary, for the past 20 plus years. My work mostly involves designing and implementing business software, and sometimes interacting with our software users.

With my atheist upbringing, it wasn't until later in my adulthood when I came to know Christ our Lord. My journey with Jesus began when I came to the United States to pursue my other earthly dreams in the graduate school. I can always vividly remember the first time when I attended an on-campus Bible Study Fellowship. It was His Word that drew me to Him. The Lord has used various circumstances to guide me in my relationship with Him ever since.

I feel so blessed to be called to serve as an elder. I've served or been serving in several roles at Chapel Hill Bible Church as a deacon, as Leader of Chinese Fellowship, and in other volunteering capacities.

As Christians, we’re called to spread the Good News to all people. I hope to use my experience and conviction to bring people from various ethnic/cultural backgrounds to worship Him as pictured in the beautiful scene of Revelation 7:9-12.
