Matt is a lifelong Bible Church attender and became a member in 2016 after his conversion. In high school, he participated in The Yard – CHBC’s youth ministry – where he formed lasting friendships, heard the Gospel expounded, and saw it embodied.

After graduating from UNC, Matt married his wife, Anna, who is a medical student at UNC, a member of CHBC, and a leader in The Yard.

Matt graduated from Duke Divinity School and was named CHBC’s Youth Minister in August 2022. In this role, he aims to “present everyone mature in Christ” by proclaiming him, by God’s grace (Col 1:28-29).

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with Anna, reading, and playing basketball.
