Martin met his wife, Viviana, at their home church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They have two children.

Martin was born and raised in Argentina as the son of Korean immigrants and graduated from Seminario Internacional Teologico Bautista (B.A) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div.).

Before coming on staff as the College Minister, Martin served as an Associate Pastor at Iglesia Presbiteriana Betel en Argentina, where he served as a Young Adults Pastor, Mission Pastor and Congregational Life Pastor. During his time in the Chicago suburbs, Martin preached in Spanish, English and Korean, while serving at Korean Church of Chicago and The Orchard Evangelical Free Church.

For fun Martin likes to grill argentinean style "asado", play futbol (soccer) and spending time with his children.
